Circus (Tsirk)
Circus is one of glitzy Moscow's main nightspots. It's expensive, including classical Roman styling and a VIP-lounge from where the lucky few get to look and lord it over the rest of the club. Beers start at just over 140 roubles ($5) but it's not the sort of place to be caught drinking something as common as beer - you'd be advised to have a go at something like Hennessy cognac, available for 200 - 500 roubles ($8 to $20) a pop. Embassy Club
This has become one of Moscow's top relaxation joints, and remains the only dedicated cigar bar in town. Music is suitably laid back but still imaginative. Attack one night to jazz the next. Wednesdays feature a cognac-and-Cuban-cigar deal for 280 roubles ($10). Drinks are quite expensive for visitor, but the food is reasonably priced and service is polite as well as uncommonly professional.
