BY AIR
The easiest way to get Murmansk is via Murmansk's Airport, which serves flights to and from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Arkhangelsk. The Murmansk Airport (MMK) has multiple daily flights to Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and limited services to other Russian cities.
BY BUS
Murmansk can be reached by bus from Finland (Rovaniemi and Ivalo) and Norway (Kirkenes).
BY BOAT
A bus and catamaran service connects to Kirkenes at the northeasternmost tip of Norway. There are also occasional boats to Barentsburg, Svalbard.
BY TRAIN
There are daily trains to Saint Petersburg and Moscow. There is also a long trip, it takes about 28 hour, the daily overnight train to Murmansk from Saint Petersburg, which leaves St Petersburg around 18:00 p.m. and arrives the next day around 22:00 p.m. Trains also travel between Murmansk and Petrozavodsk.
