BY TRAIN

There is one direct and 3 transit trains from Moscow to Ulyanovsk. They depart daily from the Moscow Kazansky train station. It will take you 16 hours to reach Ulyanovsk. In Volgograd it is about 20 hours. Train tickets range from 500 – 5000 roubles ($ 20 to $200) one way, depending on the amount of privacy and comfort. Ulyanovsk Main Station is located 6 km from the city center.
